William "Bill" J. Miller, an independent director and consultant to numerous technology companies since 1999, joined Granite Ventures in May 2008 to advise the team and its portfolio companies on management and business strategy issues.
Prior to his consulting career, Bill served as chairman, president and CEO at Avid Technology Inc. He held the positions of chairman, CEO and director at Quantum Corp., and served in a number of positions at Control Data Corp. (CDC), including executive vice president and president of Information Services. Bill was president of Imprimis, the data storage subsidiary of CDC.
Bill has been a director of NVIDIA Corp. since 1994, and he currently serves on the boards of directors for several other companies, including Waters Corp., Digimarc Corp., Overland Storage Inc., and Glu Mobile Inc.
He holds B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota.
